The Little White Farmhouse is a rental property located in historic Montgomery, TX. This property has been family owned for over 100 years and is a piece of Montgomery's heritage. Built in the 1950's, the house is still often referred to as "Aunt Bessie's" by locals. Bessie (Price) Owen taught in Montgomery her entire life, and was a noted historian.
The Little White Farmhouse is a great place to stay with plenty to do or not! The location allows for convenience to an assortment of options (see Nearby Attractions below). We understand time is precious, and we pride ourselves is making sure you enjoy yours. We know there are many options when deciding where to stay. What makes this farmhouse unique is of course the "little" things. You can expect crisp clean sheets, towels, real wine glasses, a fresh kitchen sponge, professional hair products, good coffee, chip clips, quality flatware, and plenty of fresh air!
Some of the questions we designed this house around came from our own experiences.......Will this be up to my standards? Will I be wasting my money I work so hard for and not enjoy my time off? Will I want to just go stay somewhere else when I walk in and see this place? Will I have to clean it myself once we get there? Will the beds feel like boards? Will the pillows be those feather ones that go flat and keep me up all night? We understand your concerns and we've got you covered!
Accommodations - SLEEPS 8 (no bunks!)
Nestled on 2 acres of family property, the 1,700 sf farmhouse is equipped with a full kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and a Smart TV. A Keurig is provided along with coffee and assorted creamers for your enjoyment. There are two full bathrooms as well as a washer and dryer onsite, and yes there is central air & heat! Guests will have access to the entire house and large shaded yard. You will find a BBQ grill and utensils under the carport. There is ample parking on the property, even if you bring a boat. Wifi is available. ( This is a great space for two families of four or a small group to share comfortably.)

What to Bring

Paper plates, charcoal, lighter fluid, bluetooth radio, refrigerated creamers that we prefer, laundry detergent, and phone charging cords.
The Old Store (additional building on property)
This is an old 1960's filling station/cafe that we have renovated, while trying to maintain as much of the original structure as possible.
It is 1,000 sf, tin exterior, exposed interior beams/walls, 12 ft bar, electricity, concrete flooring, and comes furnished with four 60" round plastic tables, one 48" round glass table, 30 white folding chairs, as well as miscellaneous antique wooden chairs.
